Can I seriously ask who decides when it is desecration? Not all American Indian cultures lived as the Lakota do? Their ancestors lived on and migrated across a large plain with many NDN cultures some of which built cities in the past and up to contact. Was that desecration?

Cant say I'll be celebrating the 4th this year. Atleast not out of a celebration for where the US is currently, but maybe out of hope for what is to come with the change that we are seeing right now?
