Sir, I've read that your 10 Dec. 1963 NF-104A "mishap" was attributed to a "gyroscopic condition caused by engine spin after shut-down on entering the zoom phase". Was this risk known to you prior to the flight? If so, what measure did you use counteract it? Why did it fail? Thx!

Mac gave you 2 of the most wonderful things in life - a true brother in arms friendship, and love - for if not for him, never have crossed paths with Glennis.

Not quite. I met her while with him, not thru him

Thank God for all those soldiers lost on the beaches of Normandy. We have all gained so much from the Allied soldiers that beat back the nazis on the Eastern and Western fronts.

Reading the absorbing new book by Sonia Purnell, A Woman of No Importance, about American spy Virginia Hall and the French Resistance.
@GenChuckYeager is quoted on p 165 about the “endless” climb over the Pyrenees into Spain. An unexpected pleasure to see your name! Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
