May 1944: #US traded petroleum products for #US airmen. So thru #Madrid, then train to #Gibraltar where I was debriefed & awaited a ride to my base in #UK. Eventually interned in #UK while they determined if I was who I said I was or a #German #spy. @HISTORY @GameOfThrones

I've always wondered if one of your ancestor was Nicholas Jager, (Yager, Yeager) who arrived in Virginia 1717 from Kraichgau and the Palatinate.

Mr. Yeager, and how you were treated wile going through Spain those days? I’m curious about that time of our history. Spain just went through our Civil War and the country was kind of a mess. Did you manage to have a little of our great food or was simply taking U to Gibraltar?
