Gen. Yeager, can U recommend a contact familiar w/ Allison Engine Co? I always wanted to know Y they couldn't add a 2nd stage supercharger to the V-1710 when it was clear the turbos weren't ready. What a difference it would have made in '42 if the P-51A was rated for altitude!
Q fr @Hernz19 Have you ever gone to #Germany? A: Yes. Didn't land until 1954 when I was stationed there & again 1960's. Did a lot of huntin' & flyin'. Went in 2004 for #German #American Glider Club 50th anni. I had started the club in 1954. @HISTORY @AmericanIdol @GameOfThrones
