@GenChuckYeager One wonders, if the atomic bomb had not brought about a swift end to the war against Japan and if an invasion had been necessary, would you have ended up having to mount your Mustang and fight once again? -
Probably, but understand that the B-29 firebombings were tremendous damage to the Japanese cities. They were pretty broken by the time Enola Gay & Bock's Car dropped the bombs.
