The story Gen. Yeager tells about that day is awesome. Try to find it if you can.

it's (the story) is down in my basement on my bookshelf. him and the other pilot hid out in a cabin on a mountain, and almost got caught, then they hiked east out of the pyrenees (sic?) till they hooked up with the french resistance. that's just off the top of my head.
