      Just finished reading The Right Stuff and I'm fascinated by the rivalry between the X-15 (spaceplane) and Mercury (capsule) programmes. Has anyone written an alternate history in which the first astronaut is an X-15 pilot and NASA goes the other way? Because I'd love to read it
