He’s sent me several simple answers, and I love that about him. I believe he’s incapable of bullshitting, and we need more of that!

I’m guessing you wanted to watch those gauges, and make sure you keep that thing pointed straight. It must’ve been a incredibly unique experience trying to fly something that looked like a bullet with tiny control surface’s?

You tell me, I haven't had that awesome experience. Does the cockpit go quiet because you don't hear the engines behind you?
-
You do understand they are with you..they have not been left behind..and.. in an airplane, a lot of the sound is felt not heard.

In "Yeager" to paraphrase, Chuck said that his Grandmother could have been sitting there with him drinking tea. He also said something more profound. He was grateful that it was not as predicted bc he was grateful to be alive. The General's finer points are like a book of wisdom.
-
Wow, he really said that?

My dad, Steve Vise, is proud to have served in the same Air Force as you. He sometimes talks about the time when he was a kid, he wrote to you. However, your wife, Ms. Glennis, wrote back because you were so busy. He thought that was very nice of her.
