Italians too. It was the First mach 2 fighter, but pratically a pencil with very little wings, from aerodinamic point of view a very dangerous design. Really fast but with not enough control

The way I understood was that the hydrogen peroxide thrusters were not effective because the atmosphere was still slightly too thick at that altitude. With the nose at that angle and not responding, it basically put you into the nastiest hammerhead stall ever.
