A great book. I particularly like the historical info about your times in WW II, flying the P51, and your journey having to escape occupied territory with some aid from underground folk. Just a huge level of adventure to your life. Of course, the X1 stuff was big!

I've read the book years ago. Amazing life story.

Just finished listing to the unabridged audio-book on The Right Stuff. The whole time, I was thinking that audio should have General Yeager reading his autobiography, what a fantastic book book by an amazing man.

Yes read Yeager It is the greatest book. Your are right there in the action The Gen has great stories and is very funny Certainly testing out at Edwards was inherently dangerous and many pilots were killed I'm not sure but combat seem vastly more dangerous but both are life&death
