My father trained as a navigator in the Army Air Corps but left in 1946. Still can’t imagine how you did all this with paper, pencil, visual telemetry - especially at night.

My father became part of the newly created USAF on that very day too! (Among other things, he went on to help stand up Amarillo Air Force base, when the Cold War was in full swing.)
