Did you fly the P51 with the Merlin engine? I was in the UK one time and a Spitfire flew across a deserted castle in the north. I got to a window in time to see the plane flying away with the distinctive Merlin throaty sound.

Expanding on my original question: is it a lot different to fly the twin boom configuration and how so? Did you prefer the P-51 for the dogfighting or just overall much better experience?
