Learn machines, engines, math. History of aviation so she doesn't repeat things we already learned don't work. She should check out the USAF space program.
I completely agree with General Yeager. I'd add getting all the computer knowledge she can find. I had a mentor tell me when I was younger to take all of the math and computer courses I could. He was right. No matter what field one chooses, those two subjects will be paramount.
