I think racism had bin greatly diminished since those days but lately sumthn has been trying to resurrect it; I got my own opinion on that. As many no sir yur pilot skills R well documented. Wud not hav wanted 2 bin yur adversary. I think complete confidence N yur machine is key

I’m glad you had a change of heart, since on the PBS American Experience episode on the Moon flights, it says you tried to prevent Black pilots from entering the program. “Washington is trying to cram niggers down our throats.” Is what you’re quoted as saying. Disappointing.
