Did you ever fly a P-38? They were interesting to me because of the unusual layout. How about the Pacific Theater fighters? Any opinions to share? I think the '50's and 60's jets, with a couple exceptions, were really nice looking planes. Which was your personal favorite?

I'm all ears. BTW, I've been a race car engineer for 25 years or so. When I read your book I thought to myself many times, "I'd like to get this kid at 20 years old and make him a driver." Planes were a better choice.
