Recently saw a few #WWII planes flying: #B17, #B24, #B25, #P51. Gen Jimmy Doolittle changed the war when he commanded the 8th: told us to go out ahead & stop the #Germans b4 they reached the bombers. We did & became highest scoring group. @HISTORY @ParisMatch @Bild @DailyMailUK

  My grandfather flew the B24 liberators, 5th Airforce 90th BG 400th div, Jolly Rogers out of weewak and papa new Guinea. Received the Flying Cross and personally shot down a jap.
