    Mar 5, 1944: 75 yrs ago, I was shot down. I learned last yr that the German who shot me down, was shot down by Obie, my flt leader. German's parachute didn't open. The bomber flt leader broke radio silence which alerted the Germans. Weather was stinkin'. @usairforce @DailyMailUK
