You'll never pin the General down to picking one A/C in a theoretical fight , people try all the time. He'll say it's the pilot more than the plane,, and whoever has the most experience and knows his A/C sytems the best will win. Or he'll say

I had to learn a lot of systems to run the AIMD T-56 and Prop shops. And I always listen to generals, even ones I haven't admired since I was a kid.
