Mar 1, 1943: RAF Bombers fly attack Lorient 9x & Brest 1x. German submarine pens were impervious to RAF bombs. The raids caused much damage to the cities & their residents. I was in Lorient last April-impressive very large sub pens. @ParisMatch @HeraldTribune @lemondefr #WWII
