One of my favorite "famous people stories" having dinner with @GenChuckYeager several times at my family's Sicilian restaurant when he came to town to go fishing.https://twitter.com/GenChuckYeager/status/1095689910948753410 …

Battle Ground, Washington - our restaurant was Dante's Italian Ristorante. Bob Loomis always came with you. I was young at the time, maybe 12-14 :) HAPPY BIRTHDAY Chuck. Thanks for the memories and the history. It'd be an honor to shake your hand again.

I remember asking you what breaking the sound barrier was like, and you said "it hurt"
. I had the honor to show my children "Glamorous Glennis" at the Smithsonian @airandspace and tell them your story - and my little piece of it. Thank you again sir. -
Funny also
@GenChuckYeager - my aunt Joanne Busse worked with you on the ground tracking your flights when you flew. I didn't know that until a few years ago. She remembers you fondly.
