These women EARNED their place in American history as the very definition of service in a time of need. The story of their courage and independence can only inspire! To omit them is a disservice to the children and to the pilots whose story this is.

Just saw a too-brief segment about ‘Cochran’s Convent’ of WASPs out @ Avenger Fld in Sweetwater cir. ‘43. Got a kick out of how many forced landings by male pilots were made during the first week after word got out— over 100! Anyway, was reminded of this thread. Hope all’s well.
