P-51 seems to be the go to choice. I always loved the way the P-38 looked. Did you ever get to fly one of those?

The F-4-U seems to be the biggest competitor to the P-51 for the title of "America's Best WWII Fighter" . It's a Navy plane, but did you ever get the chance to fly one, or practice against one , General ?
