After thinking about it, I agree BoB was the turning point too. Dunkirk could have been the end though.
A bunch of Brits who never fought patting themselves on the back for winning - clearly have never seen the American Cemetery in Normandy.

It was an Allied effort. My great uncle was a para who his still MIA at Arnhem, his brother was killed on d-day aged 18. My other great uncle took US rangers over on d-day on the SS Amsterdam, he was killed by sea mine in the August.
