What's wrong with it? He knows the law and he is right to ask why he is being detained. This is a lesson for anyone that gets stopped especially people of color. I don't have to give them my name and I don't have to give them my phone. Get a search warrant.

I'm sorry Neil, I'm trying to be respectful but I can't. "What's wrong with it?" What's wrong with you? Police nicely ask for video footage of incident- he refuses to give it? Shows off his legal background? He has an overt disdain for cops and he's the DA! That's what wrong! Omg

He wasn’t the DA then AFAIK You could make a case if the video was done while DA. It still wouldn’t be illegal and he’d still be within his right but it wouldn’t be appropriate for his effectiveness perhaps

"Effectiveness"?! I can't believe I'm even responding to this. Of course he wasn't the DA and of course it's not illegal - that's not the point. This is what a cop hating, anarchist MIGHT do. Not someone who thinks they should be DA.

I can understand it from your POV that you may feel that way. I can also understand it from his POV My bias is I am not a fan of overturning elections and I don’t idolize cops. We have seen wrongful killing by cops, no consequences. They have a difficult job, I respect that
