This is anecdotal to me, but as a former Civic Center resident, I can say that nearly all my neighbors (most of whom were minorities) had a good relationship w/ SFPD. Just my personal experience, but most of my affluent friends dislike police (mostly on principle) & most of my more working class friends have good opinions of police (mostly on lived experience).
