Just got physically attacked by a homeless person at Safeway in San Francisco. The guards watched it. The cashier saw it. Other shoppers gasped. But no one did anything. And just like that, I had to ignore it too. Wonder how long will this all continue. SF is not safe.
Violent offenders - understanding the reasons and addressing the causes is more important - no one wants to be hurt by this and I can understand the sentiment - it doesn’t really solve the core problem and costs a hell of a lot more

Have to agree to disagree. I keep my tone civil otherwise it doesn’t help solve anything. There’s plenty of data with studies that show that our current way of incarcerating people doesn’t solve things and is heavily racist - I have a kid in this city. It worries me too!
