You need not give into some crowd because you think you'll make your riches that way. None of us wanted to stop things because of that person, and none of us made any money because of it. But hey - if you wanna make an attempt? You'll be deeply disappointed at the outcome.

Those of us who know, and there are many, know that we didn't intend to cost anyone friends. But sometimes, there's some very bad people. And it isn't worth threatening a life out of the delusion provided.

So this is a fun one to someone who is very hurt by a community I am at a higher level of. And by fun, I mean not at all. I don't know what has put you on this path. And I'm sorry that you are either way. But it wasn't me. It was a carpetbagger that fooled you into it.

I genuinely don't believe Carlin was being funny. But people thought he was being funny.

By the way. The video I linked above, was from 2016. Seems to still ring true here in 2023.

Wrong answers include: Literally any supposed religious right. Any sort of situation wherein you're some dumb mf that thinks gender differences entitles you to a position of power, even if just sexual. Sorry, both gotta consent to that.

You doing things with a consenting adult? Fuck yeah. You doing things with a creature that fits the Harkness test? Fuck yeah. Failing any of that. No. You trying to assert some supposed religious right? How so? Wrong answers only.

Freedom is about who you are, and being able to live as an individual who respects others' individual rights about who they are. It doesn't matter if the who is a human, an animal, or whatever. You gotta respect that shit. Gay? Trans? Straight? What's the difference?

In this country, the supposed country of freedom, I don't think Carlin would be okay with it. I think he'd piss on it, and literally shit on the president, to demonstrate that what we have is absolute garbage. And don't get me started on freedom.

Needless to say - being human is literally that. Being fucking human. You trans? Awesome. You're human. You a cis? You okay with that? You're human. And oddly enough, it's just the left that seems to understand that. Basically, if we're judging against Carlin.

This is perhaps his best tirade. RIP Carlin. This fucker spoke a fuck ton of truth. I'd love to hear his commentary on today's events. This man was humanist. He was about being human. Which is an oddly vacant concept anymore. And that's saddening.

Convention masks: When you register to a convention, you are signing a terms of service that explicitly states con policy. By ignoring the rules set by the convention, putting COVID spread risk aside, you are breaking the agreement. It does not matter what others are doing!

Making it more of an IPC sort of thing could open the possibility of not having to kick the client into a specific mode or something as well. Got builder perms? Yes? Okay, here’s the current view of the world being pumped directly into an editor viewport.

Ubisoft has done some work with Blender for this too- though I’m not aware of any shipping games that used that toolkit. I think there’s a lot of creative applications for this- especially being able to BYOE. Means you don’t have to use in-world build tools if you don’t want to.

It’s some what common in the game industry for various home grown engines- for example many games will use Maya as an editor, with an in-game view to check and validate things

Fun thing I’ve been thinking about lately- having a sort of DCC app link for Neos that enables you to use an editor of your choice to build things, without sacrificing the collaborative experience.

Same applies when you’ve spent a good chunk of your early career being a 1099’er. Welcome to getting adjusted from “wow that’s a lot of money!” To having enough to make ends meet + affording some modern conveniences.

This is also using two UniFi 6 Enterprise APs meshed. My desktop is going through a switch connected to a mesh'd AP, which the test was conducted on. Pretty good I'd say!
