A few days after Elliot Rodger's killing spree, this writer for Jezebel went undercover in one of the PUA forums he used. What she discovered there was both eye-opening and terrifying.https://jezebel.com/lessons-from-a-day-spent-with-the-ucsb-shooters-awful-f-1582884301 …

I was a moderator for a PoC centric subreddit and let me tell you, the incels are what made me quit. Rape threats (or something threats??? Idk how to interpret the messages) every. Single. Day. One of my friends (who is also female) got doxxed by one of these fools. It's scary.
-
What is doxxed? Sorry you had to endure that.
-
It's when someone reveals your real life information (name, addresses, etc.) and connects it with your online handle. It's basically to prove that they can make good on their threats if they want.

It's terrifying. I've known people with the seeds of it in them. It's scarier than alt-reich (though there's often crossover), because incels seem more open to greater brutality & suicide missions. They've lost "hope" that there's a place in the world for them.
-
"Hope"! Ugh! Every pseudo Incel "hello m'lady fedora'd gentlemen" who complained about not succeeding w/women, was also the same guy who only wanted size 2 white girls AND refused to go down on them first! Hey fellas, don't be afraid of giving them some sweet Australian kisses!

Ok so I just looked ‘incel’ up. This is what happens when parents don’t show their children love. Show kindness to a stranger; they may think twice before becoming a lunatic!
-
Strangers neither exist for nor are responsible for providing therapy for broken, potentially dangerous people.
-
Not therapy. Just human kindness. Is kindness to strangers so bad? It would make the world better for ALL of us. Humans are social creatures and will find that connection wherever they can. Why not spread love at every opportunity? Or be part of the problem. You know, choices.
-
Kindness to strangers is lovely. I am a huge fan and daily practitioner. Incels don't crave kindness; they want an orifice to abuse, and the more they can subjugate and torment women, the happier they are. This isn't about kindness, it's about terror, power, and extreme misogyny.
-
Got itMy original comment was about the tipping point. Everyone has theirs. & even those who have committed horrible acts of violence against those they hate come to a point where kindness makes all the difference. Tip the scales toward loving kindness even those u think r lost
-
There was a pt where it wasn’t about power, and violence. It was about sadness and lack of love. It’s STILL about that; just manifested in a deranged way. I’m a rape survivor. I get it.
-
I'm a rape survivor as well. I carried around undiagnosed PTSD from it for 21 years until a compassionate co-worker at the health startup I worked at pulled me aside to help me. I've done some research re: this community and I'm loathe to place ANY demands on women to "fix" this.
-
That’s not where I was going with it. But I’m glad you are present. You are a gift.
