Hey @TeamYouTube, almost every time the FF7 boss theme is played on my stream/videos, it gets claimed by a cover version. https://youtu.be/Fh7pleeVxmI
Check the comments to see how many other people this is happening to. I guess they just own the song now? Pretty annoying.

This seems to be a recurring issue on YouTube; there’s also Animal Crossing videos getting claimed by someone who sings over slowed-down ACNL songs, and Chuggaacobroy got a Chrono Trigger video claimed by Wiz Khalifa because it Khalifa previously sampled Schala’s Theme in a song.

To be honest that Wiz guy most likely doesn't even know about that, someone else like his manager or labeling company would be more likely to do so

Still, the fact that videos are getting claimed for containing the original audio that the song sampled-- audio that neither Khalifa nor his record labels legally own-- is incredibly scummy and indicative of the glaring flaws in YouTube's copyright system.

I actually just checked the video out and in the comments there's a comment from Vinny that is actually 3 months old, in this specific case it's been going on for a while, kinda sad because a lot of very small channels are getting fucked by this

But it's only when a bug guy notices that there is any chance of something being done about it.
