Immigration is about nation building. Central to this is the manner in which people are welcomed after they've made the decision to call Australia home. My focus is about listening to and working with the millions of Australians who are our immigrant story.

For anyone who doesn’t appreciate the hard work and deep thinking required by members of the FPA to get this right… just have a look at the stress on these faces…. It’s not a frolic and it’s not tokenism…

Some big discussions today at our Chamber Meeting. The Treaty Negotiation Framework that we’re developing will recognise and celebrate that different Traditional Owner groups will have different ways of doing things – it keeps self-determination at the heart of the process!

Stop softening abuse. Stop romanticising it. Stop offering crumbs of sympathy to perpetrators. Victim blaming is so ingrained in our culture it is the default response. It drives stories. It drives profits. It drives the cycle of domestic and sexual violence.

The last time there was a proper process Matthew Knights was later treated with contempt and spat out… for James Hird… there’s history that even predates Campbell….Essendon is the Manchester United of the south.

Just don't see how Xavier Campbell can possibly remain Essendon CEO. Even if he's backed by board, the supporter base will errupt if he stays. Too many football department appointments which have backfired on his watch. He surely cannot be part of the panel to appoint next coach.

Two years ago I wrote to incoming President Paul Brasher saying Essendon were an arrogant complacent club that had two decades of failure and that Ben Rutten should not be the scape goat for ongoing performance. Inevitable.

So, I need a bit of help. This wasn’t the easiest thing to say and it’s not the easiest thing to watch because I talk about feeling suicidal, but if you can, I would really appreciate it. Please know that I’m safe and I’m not on my own xx

Club allegiances aside, it’s great for the game that Alastair Clarkson will coach North Melbourne. They have considerable upside as both a club and team. Good luck to them, hopefully a few constant critics can now get off their case.

Essendon is a disrespectful club… to it’s coach… to it’s members… it lost it’s way a long time ago… Alistair Clarkson can take pride in building something real at North… he should steer well clear.
