I would agree usually, however if the person leading the crisis is shown to be completely incapable of leading us then it might be worth talking about now... because as you say, we’re only at the start of this.

Precisely. It’s becoming evident that these people made a complete horlicks of introducing measures as Covid arrived. It’s only normal to feel very concerned they’ll make a horlicks of the exit strategy.

When our elected Government is screwing up so badly we have to ask questions. & now it's clear they didn't take it seriously & had no plan even on basics - ordering PPE etc - we need answers or how can we trust them going forward? You were a pro in Govt, now we're led by pygmies

Except they tried to blame it all on Labour, whereas it was the collapse of the sub-prime mortgage market, Lehmann Brothers etc and all that led to...This time, they can't point the finger...it's the Tory government.

Just as well a previous generation didn’t take that approach to democratic scrutiny in a crisis or Britain would have been stuck with Chamberlain for the duration of WW2. Strong leadership requires challenge not groupthink.
