#COVAX has had its busiest ever day of deliveries, with over 11 million doses shipped in 24 hours. It shows what can be achieved when all partners @WHO @DrTedros @UNICEF @unicefchief @Gavi @JMDBarroso are working together.
We have been asking our donors, vaccine manufacturers for months to give us better quality donations, and more line of sight and when doses will be received. This message is just starting to be heard, and countries are beginning to plan their roll outs with greater confidence.
We need this collaboration to continue. Getting doses to countries is the easy part: getting them to countries where they can be readily used is harder & requires active collaboration from all parties from the country to the manufacturer, freight forwarder & implementing country.
Anyone questioning the pace of deliveries might first consider how they can support this historic undertaking critical for global security rather than criticize it.

Shaming adults for taking the 3rd dose and teens for receiving1st+2nd doses, is simply wrong. Equity will come from the drug companies and politicians. Canadian media and influential doctors should be careful with the language they use.People are listening and delaying 3rd doses
