Or ironic that you have only read a subset of the 4 books and 100+ articles I have written on linguistics, neuroscience, music, psychology etc, and yet still leaped to that conclusion? Suggest you study up on ascertainment bias.

at the end of a long day of working on and teaching about models that integrate symbolic and neural accounts of cognition, seeing my twitter time line fill up with claims about AI being on the wrong track, and DLers being naive about real progress, I get a little grumpy. 2/2
