@GaryMarcus I have read Silver's book and his big emphasis was not just on Bayesian theory, but on making models simple and reliable
@kdnuggets as we said, we agree w most, took exception only to overselling of Bayes. but intro, second half (esp ch 8) do oversell Bayes.

@GaryMarcus see your point, but outside observers don't care about Bayesian/frequentist debate, as long as predictions are correct -
@kdnuggets of course not. But reread the parts where Silver introduces Bayes ("think differently") & dismisses Fisher.
