@GaryMarcus seems to live in a universe where almost everyone claims that they try to build AGI but they don't do it right (the way he says), where as I live in a universe where almost nobody tries to build AGI (including @GaryMarcus!), and almost everyone says it is impossible.
Ha. The reality is that @Plinz doesn't read the NYT where Sam Altman tells people that the goal of OpenAI is to build AGI (https://www.nytimes.com/2019/07/22/technology/open-ai-microsoft.html …), nor DeepMind's corporate original charter to "solve intelligence." Does he call BS on this sort of thing, does he?
