Humans are born with a human body (which includes a learning brain). That is the most fundamental innateness. That body combined with the experience of a human existence within a human society gives rise to human-like intelligence. 1/2
chimps have somewhat similar bodies but wind up in a fairly different cognitive place. and humans with limited mobility still learn language. brain > body.

Chimp bodies are different enough to make a real difference in terms of what they can learn. The human experience with limited mobility is still close enough to a “regular” human experience. IMHO we underestimate the richness of our sensorium and how important it is.

Important senses that humans need in order to understand the world that are routinely ignored: the whole somatosensory system, and interoception. We seem to believe that a brain with eyes can exhibit intelligence.
