Gary, interesting post. Wondering why we think an AI program can only process images? can it not process all the symptoms, case history etc & then come up with a good diagnosis? (Hope an AI program is never intended to replace a human radiologist & be a good complement)

I recently had shoulder dislocation & my MRI suggested that it was a acute labrum tear. I'm so frustrated at this point. No doctor could clearly tell if I need an arthroscopic surgery or not

What basically doctors did I can easily train a classifier plus also store previous record of patient. Doctors need to get better than just correlating previous records and reading images

Also Gary X-Ray is not at all a reliable parameter to detect cancer. It is one of the parameters. For complex problem I would definitely not trust one parameter
