Yup. And it always will elude. A Rubik’s cube is a toy of multi colored blocks. There is not particular purpose in “mastering it”... it might be useful for developing motor dexterity and visual acuity and combinatorial / spatial reasoning.... but it’s quite arbitrary ...
The scene, to even call it a scene, is to have so much context from so many lived experiences. You and I easily pull from our visual histories, linguistic histories, experience of doodling, elementary school history lessons, cultural ordering of dates, references to “phones”...
And you're proposing that this problem can be solved with lots of symbolic priors, right? You're going to be the biggest employer in the history of humanity and you'll be at it for a billion years. Marcus for president!
