Understanding is hard, to tackle that we have to first understand what understanding is. We are far far way from machine understanding with ML as a tool, we need more tools in our toolkit, like inference and correlating different concepts, correlating cause and effect and perhaps even basic physics. Is machine understanding an existing research topic?
