Bad marketing can easily tank tech. I cancelled my order on a Tesla Model S (one of the first 1000) in 2012 because of the PR overhype & inability to deliver on time (multiple delays). I am STILL smarting from that. Adored the tech, hated the PR problems. Trust & accountability!
