Anyone who believes this tweet needs to show me an actual (pure) CNN implementation that can easily solve a Rubik's cube. Closest actual result I am aware of was CNN + MC tree search, not a pure CNN. My point is that biological brains already have innate navigational capabilities. Exploring and backtracking, albeit not as systematic as tree algos, already exists in the smallest of brains.

An ant like a bee explores it's space as part of a liquid brain (ii.e. collective). In the case of a bee, it synchronizes its discoveries with the rest of the hive. No high faluting symbolic manipulation required.
