concordance rates and heritability show how important genes are; they don’t say how many genes have to interact to yield those effects. it’s not nonsense; it’s epistatic.

That's why I said "targets". Can't design a drug to hit fifty genetic loci. I mean, genetics is obviously responsible for a ton of our adult health problems. But genomics from thgp onwards hasn't solved much. Any reason to expect other omics will?

If I may: assuming “targets” as drug “targets” that might fit into drug discovery & dev pipeline, partly yes. Omics integrated w/ proper statistical & mathematical model + histology + clinical data can give causal mechanisms if we can establish genotype to phenotype relation.
