In my framework above, current state of the art is at level 2. AlphaGo is an example of a hybrid system. To get to level 3, you need learning through interaction and thus self-supervision. A common housefly can navigate through a home more nimbly than any drone in existence. We don't need to appeal to higher-level human cognition to realize that AI achieving autonomous behavior is very far off.
