      Haha yes, yes, of course :) Surely there are also some demonstrative peer reviewed papers that show proofs of concept, formal definitions, stress test proposed ideas, benchmark them, etc?

      I guess I'm implicitly (and genuinely) asking whether the books convey more than qualitative prescriptions, and hoping for more than a "just read it and find out" response. I'm sure you appreciate the ease with which we can quickly scan through some free papers on the internet

      the algebraic mind makes a number of very specific claims about minimal representation for human-like cognitive creatures, and explains in specific terms why multilayer perceptions on their own are inadequate.

          Inadequate? Please. They're wrong, period. Unlike DL, the brain can instantly perceive any complex pattern with no prior representation of it. It can do it an invariant manner from different angles and distances. Does the Algebraic Mind explain how GOFAI + DL can do this?
