Legend or not, Brooks couldn't build a robot that can walk into a kitchen and make a sandwich even if his life depended on it. Brooks is getting old and his dream of making robots for elderly care is fading away. Now that he's partnered with you, that dream is gone forever.

The 1st robotics problem to solve is perception. Everything else is a breeze. Marcus has no clue. The most crucial part of visual perception, the retina, is not even on his GOFAI radar. Brooks kinda had a clue long ago (the world is its own model) but he lost it somewhere.
