Does AI research include experts in theory of knowledge? Bertrand Russell’s Problems of Philosophy has some pretty interesting observations on how knowledge is formed. How we depend on “universals” to learn basics.I wonder how far this field evolved since this book was written.

It observes that verbs are by their nature “universals”. How does the first verb form in out minds? For example stop. We stop running by example. Then we learn to stop talking. Eventually we know that stop applies to any activity. How do humans and AI get to this 3rd step?
