Genuine question: should the use of DRL for reducing Google's datacenter costs count against the losses (https://deepmind.com/blog/article/deepmind-ai-reduces-google-data-centre-cooling-bill-40 …)? I don't know what % of DC costs are cooling but apparently data center costs are a big chunk of Google's 25$ billion capital expenditures for 2018.
the losses are profits minus revenue, which includes the cooling revenue. unclear whether DRL is actually involved. i reported the revenue #, per Alphabet filing that i linked

The way it works is that companies are encouraged to report a loss to reduce taxes. For individual exchange traded companies, it's an entirely different matter. It's all funny money!
