True yeah, but neat to see
@UberAILabs focusing more on evo methods,@vicariousai on hybrid symbolic methods,@nnaisense, etc. Having two big industry labs focused on Deep RL is OK imo, even if it won't solve AI it's a powerful tool that we have been refining pretty well. -
The value of DeepMind discoveries is that other research groups don't also have to expend the same resources following the same track. Once Go was solved, many other researchers stopped working on the problem. This is how science works. Not everyone discovers a solution first.
