It seems Hinton specifically rallies against frankenstining symbolic manipulation by hand into the AI. He says: "rational reasoning is ... but a high-level description of what is happening inside very large neural networks" But I think we all agree that that's how brain works?

Hinton is probably right that you can get by with Neural networks alone. Hinton is very probably wrong that combining symbolic with deep learning is wrong-headed. Corollary of Clarke's First Law, on Distinguished Elder Scientists.

@singularity_net 's AGI model? A blockchain to network narrow AIs to create one super mind?
