Ok, I think I agree with the last statement, they really hype their achievements too much (and everyone else too). But they didn't really mislead about what they were doing. They never hid that they used the API, that's exactly why they had the last game.

Yeah, I just got the impression the original tweet was saying deepmind was trying to mislead about the API. I agree their conclusion is exaggerated.

Yes, there I completely agree. My sense is that the human players clearly won on strategy, but the bot won with extreme precision micro that limiting APM doesn't really equalize
